Client profile: Production
The client had been searching for a Chief Accountant to join the team for some time. While they had successfully hired candidates twice before, both resigned after a few months, as they had been commuting daily.
We had a detailed discussion with the client to understand their needs and analyzed potential action plans together.
We created a database of manufacturing companies within a 30 km radius of the client’s location and reviewed previous projects from the region. We also searched our internal candidate database to identify those meeting the criteria.
Within three weeks, we engaged two candidates for interviews, both of whom met the key requirements.
The candidates were invited to the next interview stage. However, one declined the offer due to the fully on-site work model, and the other—despite strong qualifications and relevant experience—was unable to conduct business in English fluently, having not used the language for several years. Ultimately, neither candidate was hired.
After exhausting the local talent pool, we discussed alternative solutions. We suggested expanding the search to larger cities nearby and considering opening an additional office in one of these locations to allow candidates the possibility of partial remote work.
Within two weeks, we identified three candidates who fully met the client’s experience requirements. All were interviewed by the client, and two were invited for final interviews. After the last stage, one candidate was selected and offered the position. Since the daily commute to the client’s office was no longer required, the offered salary was acceptable to the candidate.
Despite the challenges posed by the company’s location, we were able to propose a solution that led to the quick recruitment of an experienced and competent candidate. Achieving this required developing a more flexible approach and a compromise between the client’s expectations and the terms under which candidates were willing to join the organization. The client accepted the proposed solution, and the recruitment was successfully completed.
